Sydney Reserves

During their eight season stint in AFL Canberra's First Grade competition Sydney reserves won four successive flags between 2005 and 2008. Since 2011 the Swans have competed in the NEAFL reaching the grand final only to lose on five occasions. In 2013 they lost by 8 points to Brisbane Reserves; in 2014 they went down by a couple of points against Aspley; in 2016 it was UWS Giants who had the better of them, edging home by 4 points; in 2017 they were left to rue wasted goal scoring opportunities in succumbing by 3 points to Brisbane Reserves;[1] and in 2018 they were thrashed by Southport to the tune of 65 points.
